I'm getting so excited that my shows will all be returning in a little over a month!! I need a bit of normal back in my life since everything's been turned upside-down now that Landon is apart of our lives. He's so wonderful and I can't get enough of him. But it needs to be said that no matter how much you love you children you still have to make time for yourself. And what do I do for myself?? I watch a lot of fictional drama on TV!
OMG! I can't even begin to tell you guys how happy I am that I bought that DVR this spring. Now I can watch TV on Landon's schedule.
I've currently updated the TV SCHEDULE with all of the premier dates that I have acquired so far and have change the name of "Surviving the Filthy Rich" to it's new and more catchy title "Privileged". I'm looking forward to giving the new shows a try but am coming to realize that I may have to be pickier than usual with what will stay on the schedule as motherhood takes up A LOT of my time.
I want to begin by saying that I am in love with my child. he is the love of my life and nothing can ever change that; it is unconditional. That being said, I NEVER anticipated how amazingly difficult it is to take care of a newborn 24/7. I am drained physically and emotionally. And so is Hubby.
Adjusting to the baby in our lives has been a difficult transition for our relationship. This honestly had never been an issue I had considered would happen. We bicker a lot now, which is something that we never used to do. Random situations have caused us to not speak to one another for hours if not an entire evening. He no longer sleeps in the bedroom with me when he has to work because the baby wakes every hour and he can't function at work without sleep. On his days off he'll sleep in the bedroom with me but that is only twice a week and when you're taking care of a newborn, those days feel few and far in between.
I'm finally beginning to feel as though I'm getting the hang of motherhood and have gotten a hang of the routines as well as can be expected. The first month has been a pile of stress, however. between breastfeeding, recuperating from a c-section, and preparing to be in our best friend's wedding, we were overwhelmed. And as much as we LOVE Nessa and Eric, I have to say I am happy for it to be over with. (As I am sure they are as well)
Needless to say, I think this entry pretty well sums up why it's been sooooo long since I've written anything. But now I'm happy to say, aside from adjustments we need to make in our relationship, I think it's finally all coming together and my mom tells me that what Hubby and I are going through is normal too, and will work itself out in time.
On Friday Landon will be 4 weeks old. It goes by so fast.
Thanks to everyone who's posted their wonderful comments about my beautiful boy. I will be trying to get back into my old routine of posting weekly from now on. I miss reading about all of your lives and what's going on. I can't wait to visit all of your blogs once again!
Hi everyone!! Landon's been born and I'm doing very well. Needless to say, I've had VERY little sleep and am currently getting used to taking care of this bundle of joy.
17 hours of labor and 1 and a half hours of pushing before they had to do an emergency c-section to get this little bugger (aka my angel, the love of my life) out. Or should I say LARGE bugger (aka my angel, love of my life). LOL He was 9 lbs, 2 ounces and 21 inches long.
And now the moment everyone's been waiting for.... *drum role please*.... Landon's Birthday is.... June 20th (born at 12:39am) Congrats to Brandi from Oh-Blondie.org!
It's bed time now. Landon will be up in about 3 or 4 hours wanting to eat once again so I'm off to catch some zzzz till then. :)
